Screen Recording permission

Framecap needs macOS Screen Recording only for capture, window listing, and scrolling capture. Offline image editing and schema/version checks do not need it.

Start Framecap and begin a capture to trigger the macOS prompt. Open System Settings → Privacy & Security → Screen Recording, enable Framecap, quit the App completely, then reopen it. Run framecap doctor --json. If access was denied, toggle only the Framecap entry and restart; never edit or reset the TCC database. Stable signing matters: rebuilding an ad-hoc App can invalidate an apparently enabled grant.
